ILR - Help Please.

Hello and Good Afternoon,
I need some help regarding my application any advice will be much appreciated.

I came to the United Kingdom in March 2007 as a minor and been granted a Discretionary leave for 3 years. In 2010 I have applied for my extension when I was 17.5 years old on time and the home office refused my application but, the Court allowed my application on the basis of Article 8 and again the Home office granted me another 3 years of Discreationary leave. Furthermore, Its been 6th months now that I have applied for my ILR as my solicitor advised me that I am eligible for ILR and still no news. I was wondering if some one hep me with their time scales as I have applied for Universities and Student Finance If the Home office do not decide on my application sooner which will mean that I will not be able to go to University.
