March 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

On 12th I got letter dated 8th May saying application is successful and vl receive invitation soon and said I should not contact COUNCIL until I receive invitation. Luckily I didn't follow what HO told and rung council and the sweet lady said,
They received the letter today and the next earliest available date is 21st May and she said she vl send the invitation on 1st class post today itself and I can attend on 21st May. Thanks for the support from this forum. Updating time line again.
Application date 05 March
HO received 6th March
Amount debited 12th March
Acknowledgement Dated 12th March
Acknowledgment received 18th March
Return of docs and confirmation of success of application from HO - dated
8th May, but received on 12th May
Booked ceremony 21st May

He gets first approval in April applicants. I think the main point is he got it through his paid returning envlope which save his time. That's why he got the application next day...

Anyhow, it seems that homeoffice processing 4th weeks of March applications and hopefully we will get our result soon.

But still not fair that we paid more (including NCS fees) and doing more wait .......

I rang home office on 1st of May and I was informed that decision has been made and I should get the letter within 7-10 days but I never received it till 13th of May so I rang again the lady on the phone took my number and said they will call back after checking as they were very busy at that time. 40 mins later the lady rang back and informed me that the letter was sent out on 6th of May and I asked if they can send another one but she said they have to wait 2 weeks from the date it was sent first time, so she told me to call back 20th of May if I don't receive it by then they will issue a new letter but thanks God I have received the approval letter on Friday 16/05/2014.
P.S I rang home twice and on both occasions I got through fairly quick I would say within 10 mins.

Hi guys, I have a problem!!! I recieved a letter from HO this morning and they asking for a gap March to October prove of residency but they won't accept any utility bills or stuff! Only has to be Passport or Work papers or Student and Pension papers!!
I had send all papers that I had and I haven't got anything else to send!! What can I do???? If I don't send them by 5 June then they will refuse my application ;(
i don't understand! If wasn't good enough then why NCS in Derby checked my docs and sent them?! I paid £60 for Checking and Sending....

Hi, didnt your ncs copy your passport as proof of residency? That should show when you were in and out of the country. Utility bills wouldnt be proof as these can be received even when you are away.
