Indian holding UK visa; need french visa

Hi,
I am an Indian citizen currently in the UK, on a work permit visa. I want to visit my relatives in france for 4 days. Do I need a Visa?
If so what type and how long will it take to get one?
Alos, I might need to go to france on business, sponsored by a UK governmental organisation.
What then?
Please help!

Hi,

Yes you will need visa to go france or any european country, you only dont need a visa if you have a british passport.

You will have to apply for a schengen visa from the french embassy.
