Advice on applying for spouse visa with c/a

Post by diamonddhs » Thu May 01, 2014 1:21 pm

Hi
I just needed some advice on how to go about applying for my husbands visa.
I am receiving carers allowance as I care for my mother. At the moment I am not working but I am in search of a job.
My questions are the following.... would be very grateful for anybody's help in answering them

1. what are the financial requirements for applying for the visa?
2. How many months worth of bank statements will I need?
3. What are all of the necessary documents I will need?

As you are exempt from the Financial Requirement you need to be able to meet adequate maintenance (click).

Hi Amber
I was told by somebody that this may not be the case and also that it is much more difficult to get the spouse over with c/a?

Do you know of any successful cases with c/a? I am just very worried because I have never come across such scenarios and I am not sure of what documents will be required of me?

Do you think its sufficient to have carers allowance, income support and a p/t job?

He's wrong, there is nowhere that states that, unless he can state where it does?

If you care to read the immigration directorate instructions (click), it does not state income support is excluded, merely:
5.1 wrote:Income from benefits can be included as income.
Perhaps the solicitor would benefit from reading the instructions.

Then s(he) can make an informed decision.
