ILR - Set (O) - Success 23 May 2014 - Postal

Post by BGBooker » Fri May 23, 2014 10:20 am

Work Permit Granted - Oct 2008
Change of Sponsored Employers - March 2013
Change of Work Permit to Tier 2 General - March 2013 - Extension to 27 January 2014

Application for ILR
Date of Life UK Test Pass - 14 Jan 2014
Date sent via recorded post - 22 Jan 2014
Date of Home Office Receipt - 24 Jan 2014
Date of Biometrics - 18 Feb 2014
Date Granted by Home Office - 21 May 2014
Date of Confirmation at home - 23 May 2014

Awaiting Biometrics within 7 days

I would not suggest waiting to last moment to submit application as I did. If I would have failed the Life in the UK test that would have probably changed the outcomes, allowed for delays, and compromised my employers.

The reasons I feel my application was granted in approximately 4 months was because of advice given by one of my friends.
1. Put the application in a binder
2. Separate all sections in accordance to the application
3. Make duplicate copies of everything in their perspective places

It does cost more to send via recorded mail due to weight. They will return everything except for the parts they need, but they don't have to hunt through your papers to find the answers. Makes it easy and quick for them to verify.

Good Luck to Everyone
