Professions Reference |AN1 Form| Can it be obtained early

Hi Guys,

I am applying for British citizenship in the third week of June. I was wondering if I can obtain the professional reference a few weeks prior to making the application. The problem is that person who has agreed to sign my reference is going overseas in the first week of June so I was thinking if I can obtain his reference now and submit the application later next month.

Please advise if this is acceptable by home office or do I need to have references done just before submitting the application?
