Form Questions - Please Help :(

Hi There,

I am applying for my Son under this option and filling MN1 form
section 1 (3) birth in the UK to parents who are now settled in the UK or have
become British citizens

I have got two questions.

Question 1
Section 6 Consent to the Application

As my child is just 14 months old so i am filling his form on behalf of him.


Can you please advise what should i write in 6.4 section - do i need to fill this in as i am the father of child so i assume it would be treated as Guardian ?

in 6.4 it says
I am authorised to act as guardian by
either the court at _____________________ or
the child’s father or mother WHOSE CONSENT IS ATTACHED

Do i need to get something from Court ?


Question 2:
Do i need to leave Section 2 Blank as my Son was born in UK. ?

You should complete section 2 addresses - page 21 of the guide - you need to complete 2.2 and 2.3 and 2.4.

You don't need to complete 6.4, only complete 6.1 and 6.2 - page 29 of the guide

As my Child is 14 Months OLd so what would i need to write in 6.5 section ?

Do i need to fill 6.5 ? If yes then Who will be signing that 6.5 section ?

In Section 7, Do i need to sign there as my Son's obvisouly can't sign there.

Any thoughts please on this would be really helpful.

Please read the guide, your questions are answered in the guide.

Child does not need to complete 6.5 as child is not making application on their own.

Section 7 - page 30 of the guide explains about parents signing.
