Hi,
My wife is going to apply for naturalisation in this month as married to british citizen. She came to UK in july 2010.

So, she stayed more than 3 years in UK.

My question is that according to booklet AN, if let says that she is going to apply on 15 June 2014, she needs to be in UK on 15 June, 2011. But my wife was abroad during that whole month.

She has less than 270 days outside UK and less than 90 days outside UK in last 12 months.

Is that period starts when you first came to UK.

She will need to apply once the corresponding date in 2009 means that she was physically present in the UK. If she does not meet this requirement, her application will be refused.

So if she was abroad in July 2011 but came back to the UK in August 2011, then apply in August 2014 when she meets the physically present requirment.
