Why do I need contracts ?

Hi All,

I will be applying for Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa in August InshahAllah. After a quick perusal of the forum posts I find that documents required include business contracts, invoices etc. My question is how can someone who is in the process of setting up a business have contracts waiting. We need to show the money for the business and the business plan and the person investing is not yet sure of even getting the visa. Setting up a business is not for the faint hearted and takes time and effort to develop. Why would someone put so much effort whilst on a temporary visa like the PSW ?.

So, are there people out there who have successfully applied for this visa based on just the money, business plan and initial preparation like the website and attempts to market and promote the business?

I do not think that any body has got visa without contract ,I can understand what you mean to say but if it is required then it is required but yes another alternative is business bank account and letter from bank about trading activity so they are expecting trading straight away which is definitely effort taking. but yes you have to go with one option.

Thanks for your reply - So what you are saying is that money deposited in the business account could be shown in lieu of the contract/s ???

if you deposit and make any transaction I think bank will be able to give you a letter saying"business has a bank account with us and trading through that account"

Just another question to test your patience. Is their a specific format for the contract. I mean what should be on it. Also if you are trying to establish a startup with a niche software product, there is no product to sell at the moment. So would an expression of interest suffice ?
