Bank Statements (format)

Hello,
I will be applying for an extension of my Tier 1 in a few months time. I have a couple of questions, with regards to the bank statements I will be using as proof of income and maintenance funds:
1) My original bank statements show my name as First Initial and Sirname. Is that ok, or the statements should show the full name? For some reason, Barclays shortens the first name
2) The bank statements are for a joint account (me and my wife). Is that ok? Does it have to be only in my name?

1. Yes, it is okay i applied for my ILR with my first and middle names as only initials and surname

2. Joint statements are accepted.
