Financial Requirements for Spouse Visa FLR(m)

Hi Everyone,

I am asking this on behalf of my friend.

My friend is in UK on a student visa and recently got married to the british Citizen. Now he wants to apply for spouse visa and needs some advise on financial requirement.

1. His British Partner is earning about 35000 annually and he is working as well earning just 3000 on part time basis (as he is not allowed to work full time). Is it necessary to put down his earning details on the form when his british partner easily meets the new financial requiremsnts??

2. How many payslips and bank statements needs to be included with flr(m) form? and is it ok to just include his partners statements and payslips or does he need to include his bank statements/payslips as well?

Hi Amber,

Thanks for the link. I have gone through the document and my understanding is that my friends partner needs to include her previous 6 months payslips and bank statements as she has been with the current employer for more than 2 years and it will suffice the financial requirements for spouse visa.

Am I right in thinking that my friend doesn't need to mention his part time earnings as his partner already fulfils the financial requirements? Should I tell him to just say N/A in his employment details??

So far as the Financial Requirement is satisfied additional information should not be required.
