bonus as a part of previous earnings

Post by harakiri » Sun Jul 08, 2007 5:23 pm

hello all

would appreciate if someone can answer some of my queries:

1) i am planning to show the last twelve months' salary slips to indicate my previous earnings (July 06 - June 07).
i would like to know if bonus for the period of Jan 06 and Dec 06, which was paid in April 07 will be considered as a part of 'previous
earnings' as it was paid during the period i am planning to show (as above). however this bonus payment is shown by way of a separate letter and not in the salary slip, though this reflects in my bank statement of April 07 (after tax). would the letter indicating bonus paid suffice
as evidence, if bonus payment is taken into consideration?

2) in one of the months (during July 06 - June 07), i was paid certain amount as reward and this is shown in the salary slip for that month. Will this amount be also taken into consideration given the fact that it was just in one month?

This is something you have to explain to the HO
You present the contract which discusses end of the year bonuses.
then you show how much bonus you were paid, and hopefully this is detailed in some manner, bank statement says bonus, pay slip says bonuse
and you write to ho, in order to keep people from quitting immediately after the end of the year, company delays paying bonus until april even though it should be paid with dec salary. I think the ho can appreciate this kind of situation.

Hey,

its my case as well.
i had applied for hsmp with 12 months salary and performance bonus letter as a separte letter. HO denied my application.
and i can't show my bonus in salary slip anyhow.
can i get any letter format accepted by HO which will state that performfance bonus is EARNINGs from company only.

Income tax return file stating clearly tax levied on salary from company could not suffice.

can anyone help please.

it is clear on theguidelines, to be considered as earning income must be decelred on pay slip and taxable.
