Pregnancy immigration

Hello.

I am a british citizen and my wife is using a British National Oversea passport.

I am planning to have my baby born in UK. I am wondering do my wife needs any visa to enter UK. Although the passport already stated British national oversea does not need visa to enter UK. But I am just wondering, specially she will travel alone to UK first, by that time she is 33 weeks on pregnancy and I will join few weeks later.

Bear in mind that after 28 weeks most Stupid require a letter from the pregnant passenger's doctor confirming the estimated date of confinement, confirmation that the pregnancy has no complications and that they're fit to fly.

Does your wife intend to settle in the UK and will you be paying for a private treatment for the birth?

I'm not sure but it might be worth checking that if she enters as a BNO that she's entitled to the NHS for the birth. I know that OP is the father but have we seen the NHS charge for the birth of British children 'on the wrong visa' as it were?

I might be being over-cautious but prudent to check...
