you can apply for your child leave to remain as dependent refugee. when you receive the immigration status for your child then you can apply for travel document. I don`t think so before that you will getting travel document for travel. however this is my personal experience. any senior member will be comments on this question . best wishes and good luck advance.

Hi Maria

I am in the same situation, applied back in the end of November and the money was taken out promptly with no confirmation received.

I'm hoping this is just a change in the way they do things and not something to worry about

Out of interest, when did you apply ?

Hi All,
Any idea which months they are processing now? I did applied for my TD on early November and just wanted to check how far I might still need to wait!

Thanks/Mahmoud

CTD was applied for on 10/01/2014, confirmation letter received about a week later. The CTD was received on 8/03/2014, but they didn't return the supporting documents sent off with the application. The supporting document was the original status letter sent by the HO. Is this normal or do you think they might have made a mistake?

Convention Travel Documents Application

Post by Jabunong » Sat Apr 12, 2014 4:40 pm

Hi all

I want to apply for a Convention Travel Document, I already have a current Biometric Residence Permit expiring in 9 years time. Do I send the original BRP with the application? Because on the TD112 BRP (04/2014) it doesn't mention Current BRP in the documents checklist as on the previous version. I don't want to send my original and then wait 6 months to get them as I need to use them.

PLEASE HELP

Hi there!

Any recent applicants for CTD? Any idea how long its taking these days?
I'm just applying for a CTD and i had a question while reading the application form; it says in 3.3:
"Please give below the details of any previous immigration applications in any name you have made in either the
UK or abroad."

and in 3.4:
"Have you had your fingerprints taken as part of a previous UK immigration application
made in the UK or abroad?"

Does this include ANY visa application made in the past or only for "immigration applications"? I mean iv applied for other countries' visa in the past and i gave my fingerprints at the time of applying for asylum and a BRP so should i write about it?

People who have already gone through the process, please help me here!

Many thanks!

Now i have received a letter from them stating that i should apply with a form and relevant fees. I don't know which form to fill. if it is a letter, to which address should i send? plz advice me...

babe_khyber wrote:Refugee status as dependant is free of charge don`t worry just applying in a letter not in the form + send full birth certificate and your refugee status. you don`t need to send other documents like bank statement or pay slip after 31/Oct/2005 ILR is stopped with refugee status but as dependant refugee is entitle for applying free of charge.

Congratulations on getting your TD so soon! Could you please help me a little with filling the TD form?

Also, in the list of documents to be attached with the application form at the end of the form, it says "Immigration Status Documents" Does that mean the Biometric Residence Permit? Should the original BRP be sent to them?

Many Thanks in advance for your kind help! Please reply soon.

Are you still in need of the answers or you have sent the application through?

To begin with,I didnt enclose my Indefinite with the application. I colour copied it and sent the old Traveling Document in its original form. And I also sent original letter which came with my Indefinite.

As for question 3.4:

I mentioned all the times that I submitted my fingerprints which included the initial asylum process and the Indefinite Leave process.

Question 3.3

You will need to mention the times that you had dealings with the UKBA.

Hope this will suffice.

Godspeed

Hello people!

I was just wondering, which countries are mentioned in your travel document which do not require a visa for a short visit?

Thanks!

I and my wife were given asylum as refugees in the UK. we now have a baby who was born in uk. I have applied for his Biometric Residence Permit and received it and in his personal information fields the Visa type says "HP" (Humanitarian Protection) not refugees like us. My question is can I apply for Convention Travel Document for my baby to travel outside the UK.? please advise me....

Hello, if there's anyone here.

I want to apply for the CTD but not sure if I should include my biometric card. The form and guidance don't say whether I should or not. Can someone who has applied recently please help. If there's anyone still checking this forum..... :?:
Thank you for your help.
