Visa possibilities for Cambodian

Post by esamuel88 » Thu Jun 26, 2014 2:52 pm

This may be a very broad and hopeful question so I will try keep it direct and to the point.

I have a Cambodian friend whom I’m close with. Have seen her 3 times thought the past space of a year and known her for about a year and a half. This can be proven through photos, messages, etc. Il give some details that I think might be relevant to application processes.

She is 22, has been working as a hotel supervisor/manager for over a year and in a restaurant before that. No kids. Has a property completely in her name. Lives in the capital city, Phnom Penh. She has travelled to a few countries in Asia including Thailand, Bali, Malaysia and Singapore, but this has been mostly with other friends that have almost entirely helped financially. She doesn’t have a bank account as she’s paid cash but if that would help she will open one. Will have pay slips or at least proof of her work. English level is high but still could you a lot of improvement.

We would both like for her to come and visit me in London for 2-4 weeks at some point depending on her time off work.

I would just like to know if there are any other Cambodians or friends of Cambodians that have had success with similar criteria and if you have any suggestions on how we could help it??

Another thing would be a study or even a work permit later on. I understand its extremely difficult for people from that end of the world when it comes to UK immigration but is it entirely impossible for a Cambodian that has work connections to the UK to come here and work at some point down the line?? Or to study and further her English in a more advanced English course without working??

Any advice for us would be appreciated.

Thank you
E
