They approved my mother's but refused mine stating that I didn't send evidence that I was continuously living in the country for 5 years, which I did, but unfortunately they didn't see it. I decided to make another applications as it is looking to be faster than appealing to tribunal. Our applications got returned within a month.

Good Luck to me again!!
Highlight the stuff that they missed in your cover letter and it all should be fine!

My fee is not taken out yet but I am not interested in staying here anyways its just I lost my passport and embassy needs a letter from HO to issue me new passport. With my application I have sent old passport and police letter for lost passport. My embassy needs to see a proof that I am legal here. I want a proof to get back to my country.

Sorry to hear that, loosing passport is really difficult in foreign country, but luckily you will receive what you need from HO as they are processing EEAs applications very quickly (I hope so). I have already become British this application was sent for my spouse, hopefully we will receive it soon :)

EEA3&4 received today! Dated 20/06/2014!!

I am really pleased and impressed by the speedy service by HO! Took them just a bit over a month! Well done!!

I sent EEA3 and 4 together, and included two pre-paid sign-for envelops in case they decided to return the two separately. They even included the unused pre-paid envelop in the document today, so impressed!

I included quite a lot of documents, including the essential ones and some extra ones that I thought could help, with a covering letter. For a full list of documents please see here:
http://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-ro ... l#p1038270

I have paid by card and I don't think this has delayed my application in anyway.

One more detail that may have accelerated my application: as my EEA2 has expired in May this year, my work place contacted HO to check my application through the "UK Visa and Immigration Checking Service". HO has issued my EEA4 a couple of days after this contact was made. Not sure if this has helped.

22/05/2014 sent joint application EEA3&4
23/05/2014 HO received it
28/05/2014 Money taken out from card for both eea3&4
30/05/2014 received letter from HO confirming the reception of EEA3 (dated 27/05/2014)
06/06/2014 received letter from HO confirming the reception of EEA4 (dated 27/05/2014)
21/06/2014 COA received (dated 03/06/2014)
30/06/2014 EEA3&4 received (dated 20/06/2014)

Congratulations, Sylviaucl! It really seems that the HO got their act together now and are taking a much shorter time to process applications.

I am planning to go back to my country, but I lost my passport, I went to my embassy to get a new passport. But they said they can't issue me a new passport unless I have proof of being legal here. I have no copies of my 5 year EEA visa which is expired 4 months ago anyways.
I had to apply for a new visa to show my proof of legality here, I have sent my document and money is taken out of my account, I called HO to get my old passport back as I am thinking to show my bank statement and old passport to my embassy to get my new passport and leave the country. But the HO told me I have to wait for one month for my passport as its with case worker I do not understand that. I read here that PR is issued in less than a month I am confuse please advise.
Should I wait for PR or wait one month for my passport or I call my MP.
thanks

If anyone has any idea to help me out here please do so. I have been living in the UK for the last 10 and half years. I was married to an EU (French ) national almost 5 and half years ago and got 5 years resident card, which was expired few months ago.
Now few months ago I had an accident at work in which I lost my eye sight in one eye I got 16 stitches inside, I am on compassionate leave which means I am paid my full wages 2000 pounds a month. But my wife can not work due to my condition she has to take care of me and I get nervous at time. I can not cope with my condition my finances are get up and can not afford to live in the UK without financial help. My solicitor told me my claim worth 100s of thousands as it was my company's negligence but right now I can not live without benefits.
I am afraid my application for benefits can affect my currant application of PR and future application of BC, I am not in right condition to make any decision. Can any of the expert on this forum advice me if I can apply for benefits without any affect on my application for RP or BC or I have to go back as I can not afford my situation right now.
Thanks alot

The charging is done on Durham. The analysis and casework is done on Liverpool.

Hello Everyone,
We received our EEA3 and EEA4 this morning and it was just a big relief.

My wife applied initially for EEA 3 in Sept 2013 but was rejected because she was told her 5 years of exercising treaty right started on the date her WRS was issued and not the date she started working for her employer. She was advised to reapply in April 2014.

Unfortunately the documents such as P60, WRS certificate, etc, she used in Sept 2013 was lost/misplaced. Therefore we had to apply for SAR to get copies of relevant document held in their database. Subsequently we received copies of WRS, P60s, and the letter stating the reason why her EEA3 was rejected and that she should apply in April 2014.

EEA3 and EEA4 Sent 7th May 2014
Documents:
Application forms
Payslips for 5 years (We've always kept all payslips since 2008)
Utility bills and bank statements some in both our names and some in separate names
Marriage certificate
Document from SAR
and a covering letter just to let them know the reason why the SAR documents were included, even though we were able to support the application with new and valid documents

Application was rejected 23rd May due to payment issues

Resent Both applications EEA3 and EEA4 on 27th May 2013

Received Passports with PR and all document today 12th July 2014. PR was issued 4th of July.

danuge wrote:Hi guys,

Thought I would share my experience so far:

28/05/2014 Joint EEA3 & EEA4 application received by HO
30/05/2014 Payment taken
02/06/2014 Confirmation letter for both applications received (dated 29/05/2014)
09/06/2014 COA received (dated 05/06/2014)

Am so relieved as I received a job offer last Friday and was really worried I wouldn't get my COA in time to be able to accept it. Now the long wait before the family can have a holiday, but at least I can work.

Good luck to everyone

Update: we received our EEA3 & EEA4 permanent residence yesterday :D The HO really has improved its processing time.

Ours was slightly complicated in that we didn't realise that my wife had stopped exercising her treaty rights when she stopped working to look after our twins a year into my EEA2 residence card. Luckily we were able to prove she had been exercising her rights for 5 years before she stopped working, including a period of time before we even meet. All I had to prove was that I had resided in the uk for the last 5 years.

Hi mario00,

What number did you use to call them? My wife and you applied at the same time, but we haven't received any COA yet.

Thanks
