Redundant - Tier 1 Visa Extension Query

Post by jayant.sumeet » Fri Jun 27, 2014 11:57 am

Hello,

I am due for a Tier 1 General Visa Extension / ILR in November 2014 (My initial grant for Tier 1 General was on 9th November 2009 & I came to UK on 6th Feb 2010)

Unfortunately, I have been made redundant effective July 2014, not a very good time.

I just wanted to check if I can still apply for an extension in September / October given that if I cover the period July 2013 - June 2014 (assuming I am not in job at that time), I would fulfill all the requirements for an extension in terms of salary earned.

Or is it complusary that I am in employment at the time I am applying for an extension & I need an employer's letter confirming that I am in current employment?

Appreciate your help guys, as I am in a spot of bother

Its enough as long as you meet the earnings criteria and have enough points to qualify. So any 12 month period within the 15 months prior to your application date.
Cheers,
