Tier-1 Dependent Visa for Adopted child got REFUSED from Ind

Hi All

Dependent visa got rejected. I followed below process...
I am on Tier1 general visa and 2 months back I adopted my brother in law`s daughter in India.
Then applied passport by submitting adoption deed and adoption deed with attested copy by Bangalore Court.
In passport office, they did not return those 2 documents and told us those are not required for Visa and provided a photocopy of the attested deed doc.
I double checked with VFS also and they told me the same thing.
So I submitted all the docs for Visa in VFS.
On last friday, I got the refusal letter with appeal info. Saying that refused because of photocopy of the adoption deed. And expecting original doc.

Now can you guide me how to proceed the appeal process from UK (I dont want to do it from india).
Timelines and best approach.
Also pls share your share your experience if any....

Originals of all documents are required - UKVI are quite specific on this - and I'm sorry you've been misinformed by VFS - but that happens.

You may find it faster to simply re-apply than go through the appeals process.

You'll have to get new copies of the adoption certificates to appeal anyway.

However, you have a bigger problem given this is a family member adoption. UKVI has specific policies in place to prevent 'gifting' of family members.

Check section 310 - specifically clauses ix, x and xi.

You'll need to prove your new adopted daughter meets those clauses.

Ring them and ask?

Otherwise you need to get a duplicate original from the originating agency.
