Thank you for your e-mail.

It is often the case with naturalisation applications that some are dealt with in a relatively short space of time and other applications take considerably longer and this is due to the nature of the checks that have to be undertaken prior to a decision being made. I am afraid that there is nothing I can advise you in addition to my previous e-mail other than to say that if you have not received a decision by September then please let me know and I will contact the Home Office again on your behalf.

@Brightlight: I am so sorry to see that you are still waiting for ur citizenship.....its same story on passport side though..its almost 2 months for me that I have applied and still haven't received interview calll for passport.

Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc.: Debit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 21.February.2014
Date of acknowledgment: 21.February.2014
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 24.February.2014
Date approval received: Waiting…
Date of ceremony: Waiting…

Letter sent by Case worker: 1.April.2014
Returned all my original documents and even though I am a Third year BSc Student, I was sent a letter by the case worker asking me to do the B1 English exam. Which I managed to book and sat the exam and sent it to them by the 16.April.2014.
Emailed "Further Nationality Enquiries [FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk]" on the 10.June.2014 regarding the status of the application, got a generic reply back on the 16 of June.2014 asking me to wait till it is six months.
Any help and advice welcome.

No news, nothing to say, very upset and disappointed.
Do they expect us, to contact them after exactly 6 months, just to find out that they might ask us to wait longer?
I got the feeling, that is going to be the case.

Specially at this time when you lose a bit of hope and just wait for 6 months to be completed.

I heard the passport application is also a very long waiting too.

I had this thread in my bookmarks when I was posting my updates back in Feb, just thought to check if everyone has got through but a bit disappointed that few of our friends are still waiting. My friend man4uni is doing a tremendous job and I am sure you guys will get through eventually, have patience, I know its difficult but I am sure it would be worth the wait!

Hi All,
I called this morning enquiring about my application coming up to 6 months waiting time in 2 weeks, what is the result and why they let me wait so long?

They said " they will get SOMEONE to actually have a look as it come up to 6 months "

Does it mean that
1. They do not have any case worker for me yet?
Because they can not give me the name.
2. They have not seen / have not considered my application at all. Basically just let the time past and let me wait for 6 month, it's not nice.

I do not understand why can not they call me and tell me why and what they want, if they need more document or anything.

I hope that it is not what I thought,, wait until 6 months to be told to wait for another 6 months..

It is really bad. They can not hide under the fact that 6 months is their standard procesisng time. When 90% of the people get it within a month and someone else wait for 6 months, he has every right to know what is different in his case, why he is not being treated at par with others.

Even if the answer is you are selected randomly for further verification checks, it is still an answer.

To me it is a clear discrimination (as long as you are not told a reason why your case is different), treating a select few differently to others can not be right but no individual can afford to knock the door of law for this!
