Self-employed company and accomodation at same address

Post by ss596 » Tue Jul 15, 2014 4:34 pm

Hi all,
I am a self-employed british citizen who is preparing documents for my spouse's visa settlement application.

I have just noticed that there might be a few issues in the current accomodation documents as follows and if they are a problem, wanted a solution for it.

1- I live in a ground floor flat with 1 double bed (106 sq ft), 1 separate lounge (96 sq feet), Spam, family toilet, front and back gardens as mentioned in the property report.
This property is shared with my younger brother. I have the double bedroom for myself and he has converted the lounge as the second bedroom. Would this be an issue and how should I clear this in the application?

2- We are both self employed (Director of limited IT-related companies) and our companies are registered at the same address as this accomodation. I have also been a part-time employee for my brother's comapny between Dec13 to March 13 (while self-emplyed myself). Have included the payslips (salary appears in my bank account), P45 and employee letter from my brother.
The problem is, my brother's company has the same address (In the employee letter) as my company and accomodation. Regardless of my salary through this employment, I still fulfill the minimum financial requirements through my company.

Would the situation above be an issue?

Thankyou,
Zach
