Referee for children

Hi,
We want to register our children (6.5 years and 4.5 years old) as British citizens using form MN1.
We(both parents) got ILR in July 2012. But our children were living in India and we brought them to UK in November 2013.
I have got a question on referees for children.
We managed to find two referees. But, should the referees know the child for last 3 years?
Since they came to UK last November, no one in UK will know them for last 3 years. In this case, should we find two more referees from India to cover last three years?

Hi,
Can anyone please say whether the referee (in MN1 form) should know the child (who is above 3 years old) for past 3 years?
