f2k,duende,novice,mwazir & all

Just now I called to HO.And they said the decision is taken on my Application and the letter with all the documents is sent back to my Home Address.

I asked them to share the decision and the lady said my application is successfull :D

I was very happy told her thanks and later i got doubt again if i heard something wrong i called them again to reconfirm and they told I scored 70 points and the application is approved :D . And they confirmed the address and other details as well 8) .

I was shocked because i claimed for 80 points but they gave me only 70.I think they did'nt give me spouce points.I sent the proof only for the pass 1 1/2 year although we were married in year 2000.

Anyways I got above 65 and they approved i am so happy today.

Here are my application details:

Reference No : 249xx
Below 28 : 5.
Education : 15 (Computer Science Engg).
Experience : 25 ( 3 year 8 months) -- Now I have 4 years :wink:
Salary : 25 ( >£27000).
Spouce : 10 --- I think they did'nt give me these points.

Thanks . So when r u planning to send u'r FLR I am planning to prepare everything this weekend and will send it on Monday.

And what all documents are u planning to send ?

I looked into FLR form its simple and very straight forward.

Passport
Passport size photos
Marriage Certificate(for dependants)
Bank Statements
Pay Slips
Job contracts
House Contrats

Whatelse should we send ? :wink:

ND,
I am planning to do the same and as you said the application for FLR looks stright forward.

Are bank statements, payslips, job contracts and tenancy agreements necessary? In the documentary evidence section, economic activity is asked only for applicants on HSMP extensions.

In my case (and yours), I am moving from a work permit to HSMP. Can you please confirm this ND?

I am also in the middle of moving homes and I am thinking maybe I should file for FLR after I have moved.

Even I am moving from WP to HSMP. Job contact may not be needed but bank statements,pay slips ,house contract will defnitely help.

See below: If you see section 11 in FLR(IED) form you can find the below: The above will be evidence that we have enough funds.

Evidence that you have the funds to maintain and accommodate yourself and any dependants without recourse to public funds. The evidence must be formal documents such as bank statements, a building society passbook, or wage slips (but do not send us cheques, travellers cheques or credit cards). If a relative or friend is supporting you, the evidence should be a letter from him/her confirming this together with formal documents showing their financial situation. (The documents provided should cover at least the last 3 months).

I would suggest u to apply ASAP because as u know its taking 10 weeks now a days for FLR .... In future it may take more time .If u are moving to new house u can always tell them to post the passports back u'r office address or new address.That should'nt be a problem. :wink:

I received all my documents today morning I was so happy to see the approval letter. :lol:

The letter was dated as Nov 3'rd.They did'nt mention how many points i got but they just mentioned that the application is considered and is approved.

One thing what i did'nt understand is the letter states that i can go for FLR any time in the next 6 months.

I thought its 3 months.

Can you tell me whats mentioned in u'r letter is it 6 or 3 months ?

ND, It says 6 months and not 3.

Even the FLR(IED) application form says if you apply after 6 months from the date of issue, it will not be accepted. So in principle you have 6 months from 3rd Nov.

There is another catch though, the FLR(IED) application must be submitted to the HO before the expiry of your current visa.

I guess the three month period is only for EC.

ND, was your approval sent to you seperatly? Mine came alone with my documents. Also the actual approval letter was a let down. It was a two page black and white letter. Was it the same in your case. They told me the details are already known to the FLR team and you just have to file it.

6 months is long time thats good.Anyways i have current LTR till 2007 dec.
And i am planning to apply this in another 3,4 days.

No It was sent to me with all the documents . ( All in one ) For me the letter is on the top of all other documents.Ya its 2 pages b/w. They did'nt mentions anything that the details are know to the FLR team but they mentioned that all I need to do is fill the form and send the FLR applicaiton. 8)

Section 5
28. Your WP, SBS, TWES or HSMP reference number or SAWS work card number.
This is the same reference number given by the HSMP team right? There is not alphanumeric reference number on the approval letter like in the case of WP.

Your Home Office reference number (if you have one)
In our case, this is left blank?

From which British Diplomatic post overseas did you obtain entry clearance and/or a visa?
I received my original visa from the british Consulate in chennai, but subsequently, got an FLR extension from the HO 2 years back when I changed employment.
What have you mentioned here? I think its "British Consulate, Chennai, India" for me.

----I am not sure but I think its the reference letter that is mentioned on the Approval letter .Check at the top right corner of your letter ----

Just now checked mine its the same as the reference number they give for our application --- U R Right

Yes the reference number on the right hand corner of the approval letter collaborates with the reference number given when you email the HSMP team. Thanks ND.
