Applying for naturalization when married to British citizen

Hello,
I'm a Polish national. I first came to UK in 2004 and registered with WRS. I worked here for about a year and a half and then left to come back in 2008. I never re-registered with WRS after coming back to UK, but worked continuosly between 2008 and now. As WRH ceased in 2011, my question is: did I obtain ILR or permanent residence status (I don't really understand the difference between these two) on May 1st 2011? Also, I'm set to marry my Scottish boyfriend. Can I apply for naturalization just after we're married?
I'd appreciate a quick reply. Thank you!
