discretionary leave

Post by danielmichaels203 » Tue Jul 22, 2014 3:26 am

I came in as student in 2004 and at the moment I am an overstayer in the uk. I fell into the hand of immigration and i have been signing at the reporting centre for about six months now. The last time i went to sign, i had an interview with an immigration officer and after the interview i was asked to bring my child birth certificate that they want to consider letting me stay in the uk but i did not qualify to use my child under current immigration rules because my child is not 7 years old yet and she is not british. Do anybody have an idea why they ask me to bring the birth certificate?

What is the status of the other parent, where was the child born? Has the child ever had leave?

The other parent doesn't have status and the child was born here and never had leave before
