Extension of Spouse visa outside UK

Hi Everyone,

I'm a British citizen and my wife & My son are on Spouse dependent visa on 5 years route. They are still on there first 2.5 years visa currently and I have got job offer in Gulf Saudi Arabia. I'm now planning to move to Saudi for couple of years but I need to know weather i can get my wife & son visa extended from there. I don't want to break there 5 year route visa and still would like to keep them with me when I'm working in Saudi Arabia.
I would appreciate for all member's suggestion. Please suggest me what i would need to do in this situation. If possible any home office links to support your answer.

No, you have to extend your stay from inside the UK.

Be aware that if you leave them behind and re-locate to Saudi Arabia they may well find it difficult to extend the visas even from within the UK. The condition of the visa category is that you are settled together in the UK.
