September applicant - Approval letter recieved

Dear all,

I recieved my approval letter from the HO yesterday.

Here are my details:

Applied on - 2nd September 2004
Recieved by HO - 3rd September 2004
Payment deducted - 8th September 2004
Reference Number: 0260XX
Approval Letter dated 1st Nov 2004, recieved on the 2nd

As you can imagine, I was quite (pleasantly) suprised and therefore I called up the HO and they confirmed that the application has been processed. I asked if there has been any change in their processing queues or they have fast tracking in-country applicants. He said there has been no change and then added that sometimes they pick out straight forward cases for their trainee case workers.

The approval letter did not detail the points given; and wasnt on watermark paper and wasnt even in colour. So I asked him about that as well. He said, the in-country team (as in FLR-IED) is aware of your approval and its only oversea applicants who are sent watermarked documents. The letter was mailed to me along with all my documents as a recorded delivery.

I am now preparing the FLR(IED) application. I would like to thank all the contributors of this forum. The presentation of my HSMP application was entirely based on the fedback of this forum by variouis members.

Julia, true at least they are training more case workers so who knows they might speed up applications in the next few weeks

good to know that you got the approval so quick. could u tell me how did u apply. i am just planning to apply for hsmp, but didnt decide yet, whether to apply through migration consultants or direct. please tell me the method.

Great stuff Mwazir, you have more than earned your speedy consideration with your contribution on the board. sometimes when we hear about quick cases like this, we feel that they are unfair. In this case, i feel that you absolutely deserver it. Best of luck in your future endevours.

shahul, I applied by myself. I did however meet a consultant and asked a few question. It turns out that there is no real value addition in using the consultants. You will be paying them in effect only for posting your application. The details of your application and the information required is straight forward.
