visitor visa for parents - original documents lost

Dear All,
I am naturalize british citizen and would like to call my parents from india, for 6 months on family-visitor visa. I am sponsoring all of their expense in the uk. Since I had a standard email reply from UKBA that they only accept original documents. I sent all my latest payslips, bank statements, rental contract, sponsorship letter by courier, which unfortunately has got lost.

I asked couple of local visa agents in India, and they said; it should be okay with my bank e-statement copies, and scanned copies of my employment contract, rental contract, my passport copy and sponsorship letter. Am still in a dilemma of what to do. Would really appreciate your guidance.

If it helps, financial circumstances of my parents as below:
Father:
-Retired with 20,000 rs pension
-Around 20 lac in FD and shares
-Owns property of around 50 lac

Mother:
-savings 2-3 lac
-Owns property of around 15 lac
