switching from Tier 4 to spousal visa

Post by guyver123 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 7:45 pm

hey all

i'm a postgraduate student completing my MA this september. my Tier 4 student visa runs out in November. my partner and i are considering marriage, but we're not sure how to go about it. is it possible to marry and apply for a spousal visa before my tier 4 visa runs out?

any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes it is. You can certainly marry here but make sure you meet all the requirements for the spouse visa, especially the minimum annual earnings level of £18,600. Any earnings you may have can be combined with your wife's. You would apply on form FLR(M)
