Help needed - previous Earnings

Hi Experts,

I am applying for HSMP this week and have below query:

for previous earnings i have the following documents

1. 12 months pay slips signed and stamped. from august 2006 to july 2007.
2. Bank statements for 12 months from august 2006 to july 2007.
3. itr1 and form 16 covers.

as the period april 2007 to july 2007 wont cover under tax period i am planning to take salary letter from employer for this period april 2007 to july 2007.

is it sufficient or do i need to take the salary letter from employer for the remaining period aughst 2006 to march 2007 also?

please advice..

You could take a letter from your employer stating your gross earned income for the period claimed or you could take a letter from the employer(salary certificate) stating your annual income but it should show that you are working in the same company for the last 12 months.

but the problem is i have to take letters from 3 companies..
Reasons:
i switched job in nov 2006 ad curent copany is aquired by another company. so i have pay slips from 3 different company names..

Is it necessary to take the salary certificate from 3 companies or from the current company for the period april 2007 to july 2007 which is not covering in tax caluculation period|??

Please clarify..

Dear Speedsven,

Me too in the same situation as yours.
the evidences you have should suffice. but to be on safer grounds the employer letter comes into the picture.

as long as your query goes:
I had written to HSMP asking about it, the mail as follows~

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your email.

As your tax return does not cover the full period of your payslips we
will require additional evidence which covers the months your tax return
does not cover.

You can provide bank statements for the months April to July 07 as long
as they corroborate your payslips.

As a whole each payslip should be covered by your tax return or you're
your bank statements.

I hope this answers your questions, if you need anymore information
please reply.
