English and Life in UK test for ILR

Post by Tier1general-ILR » Sun Aug 10, 2014 5:09 am

Dear users of the forum.

I currently on Tier1 General. My ILR application is scheduled in 2016.

1). Can I apply and pass English Language and Life in UK test more than 1.5 year before my scheduled application for ILR Indefinite Leave to Remain? Are there any rules on when (how far in advance) you have to pass these tests, e.g. within 1 month before ILR, etc? How long this English and Life in UK test will be valid for once passed?

2). I already passed my test as part of requirements for Tier1 General Visa? I think I had 6.5 in IELTS. I used the same test result for extension of my Tier1 General visa. Do I still need to pass another test for ILR - English at B1 CEFR or higher, or its equivalent?

Can't find this information anywhere in the internet.

Thank you beforehand.

Its too early to ask this question Home Office change its policies through out the year so no body predict what will be the exact policies in 2016  .
Life in UK Test does not expire so you can do it now if you want
and for English language test I read in some where in this Board if you used your IELTS in any previous T 1 G application It can be used in ILR as well even its expire.
