need help for applying settlement visa for wife and son

I am applying for settlement visa for my wife and son in this month of August. My question is can I show my last 12 months earnings from July 2013 to June 2014? or I have to show 12 months from Aug 2013 to July 2014?

please help me

The last payslip should be no older than one month when you submit the application.
