ANNOUNCEMENT : TOEIC English exam no more acceptable by UKBA

TOEIC English exam scores are no more acceptable by UKBA anymore and ETS have been told to suspend its activities until 7th of March 2014.

Kindly do not put TOEIC english certificate in your file as you will not be awarded 10 points for English.

Those who got the results will be fine. Those who sat already, but are awaiting results will not get it, however will get full refund.

All candidates who have applied for ANY application using TOEIC certificates are being sent letter requesting NEW english certificate to be sent.

Sorry, but the message was only for TOEIC examinations initially. Later on, they added TOEFL too. Afterwards, I have heard that letters are being sent to those who had put these ETS certificates... to resubmit the english certificates with another awarding body approved by UKBA.

You can still apply with TOEIC or TOEFL and your application will be accepted, however you will be asked later to resubmit new English scores. This is because no information is being posted on UKBA's website at the moment

I have came to the UK as a student with IELTS score of 6.5 then in first renewal of my student visa, I have submitted TOEIC english test certificate and they accepted that. Few days ago, for second renewal of my visa, I have attended IELTS exam again and got 6.0 in every band. Now I am going to apply to UKBA for renewing my visa but everybody is saying that, whoever submitted TOEIC certificate to UKBA before, they are being caught by UKBA from their house. Is this information right or are they gonna consider me in this circumstance? I am very tensed about this issue.
