Advice needed for Non-salaried Category A Sponsor

Post by ilrupdates » Mon Aug 11, 2014 6:27 pm

Hi all,
I am permanently and full time working with a well known company in UK since last 5 years continuously. My annual gross income is higher than 18600 (which is required to sponsor a spouse without having any kid) I come under category A , Non salaried sponsor as my monthly gross income varies every month depending on the number of hours worked each month.
My current monthly income is as under

Month Income
Feb 2014 1825
March 2014 1900
April 2014 1700
May 2014 800
June 2014 1899
July 2014 1855

Total for six months is 9979

Now I think that its calculation should be done as:

Total income for six months divided by 6 and then multiplied by 12 to bring up the annual 12 moths gross pay equal to or higher than 18600. which in my case is
Total for 6 months = 9979
average per month = (9979/6) = 1663
Annual Pay = 1663 x 12 = 19956

I just need the confirmation have I calculated in right way or ECO will consider my lowest monthly pay, which is 800, to calculate the total annual income?
Please advise. thanks

As you're in non salaried employment, lowest income isn't the issue but total.
Yes you're fine, your calculation is Ok.

Thanks for your advice Rayking, will it still not be a problem if even I have zero pound ( £0 ) wage for one month out of last six months but the total comes out equal to or higher than required threshold (18600)
please advise.

Thanks

I don't understand your question? The income you stated above,I can't see any with £0,
If you're using cat A,you must show income for the six months with corresponding payslips and bank statement.

Thanks once again Rayking for the reply.

Yes, there is no zero (0) ponds wages in my case mentioned above. actually one of my friends has the similar kind of the situation i.e He comes under non-salaried Category A Sponsor. He has earned gross 22000 pounds in the last 12 months in total (although his monthly pay varies every month depending on the hours he has worked each month) and he has zero (0) ponds wages for one month as he did not work for that month at all and had unpaid holiday for one month. so will this zero ponds wage slip have any negative effect on his dependent application ? He is sponsoring just one applicant (his wife only)

Advice form other experts is needed also please.
Thanks

With non salaried employment that would be fine.

I was in non salaried employment when I sponsored my husband and I was grateful for the flexibility!!
