What is the £1,000 government monthly payment for? The savings don't have to be held in one account but they must have been in the accounts for at least 6 months.

I imagine, tax credits and child benefit? The other amount being a maintenance order.

Benefits can't be used to satisfy the Financial Requirement unless exempt. I assume the sponsor doesn't receive any disability benefits?

Amber I believe the OP is intending to use the child maintenance payments of £1,000 per month (from the father) with the £10,000 annual earnings. His wife has £39,000 in savings.

Savings would be savings - 16000 / 2.5 = amount that can be used and combined with gross salary to meet the Financial Requirement.

The child maintenance could be included insofar as the specified evidence is met as stipulated in Annex FM 1.7 - https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... rement.pdf

By my possibly flawed calculations you need to have earned the £18,600 outright or earned the £10,000 and have had savings of £40,000 for six months which are immediately accessible.

You can't count WTC and child maint. etc as these amounts would likely change upon your gaining leave to remain.

You can use child maintenance by the ex-husband wanderer, it is classed as non- employment income with can be combined with earnings.

If you're presenting payslips and bank statements in the last 6 months. Then the letter got to state her income in the last 6 month. Presenting letter written in June will therefore contradict your payslips and income stated in your letter. In summary NO,your letter must be recent and correspond with the total income stated on your payslips.
