Applying for citizenship if you have not filed your taxes

Post by Ellenesk1 » Tue Sep 09, 2014 3:04 pm

We have been delayed in filing our taxes but have an appointment for our citizenship with the document checking service in a few weeks. We have some time constraints as my daughter is approaching her 18th birthday. Would the lack of filing of our taxes affect our citizenship application?

Insofar as you're not evading paying taxes you should be ok.
