ILR Spouse dependent visa

Post by esukhpreet9 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 7:49 am

Hi guys,

Apologies if the same question has been answered before.
I was granted ILR in January 2014, and I am planning to get married in December. My to be wife is in Delhi.

I am planning to do court marriage in November and proper marriage in Dec. I am planning to submit the following documents:
1) Court marriage certificate
2) My 6 months bank statements,
3) passport and BRP copy
4) P60
5) Payslips
6) proof of relationship - viber , whatsapp screenshots and call history
7) tenancy agreement, bills etc
8 ) Sponsorship letter
9) My Employment contract
10) Letter from her institution that her degree was taught in English

Questions:
1) Do I need to book her tickets to the UK before applying?
2) If she applies for the dependent visa from Delhi in first week of November, by when can we expect to get a decision?
3) Any other document that I am missing?

Regards
Singh

On your questions:

1) No - and really don't do this - the visa might take a while

2) Delhi is currently processing 97% of settlement visas within 60 days. But brace yourself for a longer wait just in case.

3) Your list looks reasonably complete - providing the degree is recognised by NARIC already.

Thanks for your reply. Few more questions:

1) How much is the minimum money I need to show in my account, provided my salary is above £18,600?
2) Is there any such requirement for her as well?
3) As I mentioned earlier, I will do court marriage first to apply for her visa. I can show our pictures of before and after court marriage. Will that be enough? Also do I need to show any pictures of marriage in the temple? Do I need to show any marriage invitation card?

Hi guys,

Can anyone please help?
I get a salary of 45k and savings of 22k , how much minimum savings do I need to show?
How much amount should my spouse show?

I pay a rent of £950/month

Will the above savings and salary be ok to apply?

I have been reading the new rules from 6th April 2014, but just a bit confused with the financial requirements formula they use for ILR dependent.

No need to worry bro. As your income is over 18,600, you don't need to show savings of your or your wife. You just 6 month payslips , 6 months bank statement and letter from employer if you are working for the same employer for more than six months.

Another question if someone can help please:

As mentioned earlier I am planning to do court marriage first and then apply for the visa and then do proper marriage after a month.

Will it be ok if court marriage date and the visa appointment date be one after another or should there be any gap? As we wouldn't have spent time together after marriage then, but we have details of Skype calls , viber call, whatsapp etc before that for around 4 months and engagement pics. Also I was in India for some days for engagement but mostly I was in the UK and she is in India.
