Employee of own company as well registered as self employed

Can I be along with employee of my own company(director already) as well as Self employed for the same level of work as I have couple of ongoing contracts for my company and they are paying cheques to my company name.

Can I work as self employed as well in similar role along with being employee of my own company.

if yes then I need to register with HMRC as self employed as well(Role is management consultancy for GP practices)?
