HSMP - HR Details.

HI,

I am applying for HSMP this week and have few queries. Please help me to sort out these.

1. do i need to provide the HR details separately or in cover letter itself? is the HR details of claimed period is sufficient or for the total experience?

2. which is the better way to fill up the form - by hand or on system?

3. In HSMP Form Q14 is - What is your current occupation?
what exactly i Should mention whether my designation or industry i.e software professional?

4. Is photo or passport xerox required?

You can mention HR details in the Cover letter.

2. which is the better way to fill up the form - by hand or on system?
If you have a good handwriting you can fill by hand, If i were you i would have chosen to fill on system. On system will look Neater.

3. In HSMP Form Q14 is - What is your current occupation?
what exactly i Should mention whether my designation or industry i.e software professional?

4. Is photo or passport xerox required?
Not required. If you arent providing required evidence (i.e. Original birth cert or Full driving license) for the age then you may have to provide Notarised photocopy of your passport.

i have few more doubt:

You can have a detailed main cover letter with all possible information you NEED to provide. Also, you can top up each section with a BRIEF description.

2. how many pages on an average should be the cover letter?
On an average 2-3 pages. Can be more, can be less, depending on your case.

3. As tax returns (India) not match with the gross salary, is any additional explanation need to mention? if so, please provide me the content how should i expalin this.
Firstly, does your tax return cover the 12 month period that you are claiming? If not, then you can tick the exceptional consideration box in the form and mention "Since ITR does not cover the claimed period, I am providing Bank statements and employer letter confirming my gross earnings" i.e. if you are submitting bank statements and employer letter as exceptional evidences. Make sure that you also submit your ITR along.

Just to clarify :

"If your income tax return does not cover the entire period claimed, then you should provide either or both of the following:
• Your bank statements covering the period claimed for;
• A letter from your employer on company headed paper, stating your salary. The letter should confirm that you have received the salary stated for the earnings period claimed."

This is point 50 in the latest guidance. Clearly, just the bank statements should suffice if the TAX return does not cover the 12 month period, provided you can provide payslips for 12 month period.

Please let me know if i've misinterpreted something.

my doubt is the tax retuns in india caluculates after deducting tax exemptions. so the amount shows in tax returns and gloss salary varies.
do i need to explain this in cover letter? if so please give me some light on the content to mention in cover letter.
