English language requirement for British Citizenship

Post by Jyoti Chand » Sat Oct 11, 2014 2:00 pm

Can someone advise me please.

I am a spouse of an EEA national with ILR. Having recently passed 'Life in the UK Test', I wish to apply for British Citizenship.
But I am confused about the English language requirements.
I have completed Association of Accounting Technicians and Chartered institute of Management Accountants, both in England.
Would either of these qualifications be sufficient to prove my English language skills?
Do I still need a points based calculation (as both qualifications bring out '0' in the calculations.

Many thanks for your time and consideration.

You will need to do the test to meet the English requirement. It is fairly easy and only a short test.

Only a UK degree is recognised or a foreign degree which meets the comparability criteria.
