2) Suppose if i received the approval while i am outside UK does it is VOID my ILR status?

3) After naturalisation approval what is the time frame to contact council for ceremony ?

Ask some to check your post box regularly
U can always call up your NCS where you have applied book an appointment according to the date that fits you.

Generally it is 2 weeks time I think for you to contact Council for ceremony (I am not sure about 2 weeks )but u can take up to 3 months time to finish the ceremony.

I feel you are fine to travel..

1. Yes.
2. No. You are not British until you attend the ceremony.
3. You are asked to contact the council within 3 weeks to book the ceremony. In practice, as long as you attend the ceremony within 3 months (even if booked later than 3 weeks), you will be fine.

My wife is in similar situation. She is waiting for her approval but is desperate to visit her family for Christmas. She really wants to stay there for a few months to sort out some family business. I read on the .GOV website that you can apply to have your ceremony at the Embassy or Consulate in the country where you are. So if here approval arrives when she is away, could she go to the UK embassy and do the ceremony there?
Can anyone confirm this?

Unless stated otherwise I believe HO will send certificate of naturalisation to the nearest council to you and it is there that she is expected to attend her ceremony and collect the certificate.
I am sometimes wrong.
