Solicitor fees.

Post by Ar_img » Wed Oct 15, 2014 1:09 pm

Hi,

Is 1650 GBP for solicitor fees (not including home office 1093 GBP) helping with ILR via domestic route a little too much than the average price?

Just need to know. Cheers

And, in addition to the above. How do you check a lawyers experience? Any government website that keeps account of every case taken in by a particular lawyer?

I worry my lawyer ain't as good as I hoped she is.

Thanks in advance

Already paid over half of the amount. I'm having to pay the last instalments. Just made me think when I saw another on here for 1000 GBP.

Won't be worried if the experience and skills justifies it.

The fee seems about right although costs vary. If they are a solicitor they should be registered with the law society and if an immigration advisor, OISC registered.

Thanks for clearing this out. Just realised she is an adviser not a solicitor. Hopefully this is not a bad thing.

This link gives you information on OISC registered Immigration Advisors. There are different levels.
