Naturalisation and Electoral Register:

Hi all,

I was wondering whether you could help me.

For certain reason I need to be on the Electoral Register at a different address from that where I actually live. If possible I would like to put my actual address and not an address which needs to be on the Electoral Register.

Does anyone know whether case officers check Electoral Register and if yes whether it would be any problem when applying for naturalisation?

Let me add that I would be an EU applicant.

I had to move off my own home due to issues in the marriage but still have my mortgage on it.

In any case, the point is whether Electoral Register entry is checked during Naturalisation enquiries and if yes whether it matters for EU citizens?

Ah, ok. It looks like I will need to go through a bit of hassle to align it properly for disclosure.

I thought that they don't bother checking Electoral Register as most applicants are from countries where they are not eligibile to appear on it or even if they do it doesn't matter too much as it is only address.
