Right of Abode - Settlement Visa for family members

Post by 075534 » Sat Aug 25, 2007 9:47 am

Hello to all everyone who reads this.

To cut the story short. I had a certificate of entitlement visa issued in my foreign passport in pakistan . This visa was obtained by descent through my father who was a british citizen. I have been know in the UK for ten months and been working for the last eight months.

Can I apply for my husband who is in pakistan for a settlement visa?

Look forward to some responses

I was isssued with a spouse visa in pakistan about 18 months ago. However I stayed in pakistan for about 5-6 weeks after I was issued my visa. I now have about four months before my spousal visa expires. my questions are?
1) Can I apply for indefinate leave to remain?
2) Would I have to apply for further leave to remain and then indefinate leave? the reason being, as when I apply for indefinate leave I would have been in the UK less then two years (me arriving late).
Look forward to responses

p.s. I meet all other requirements i.e. completed a esol course with citizenship material.
Am a little bit confused with your story.
