12 months ILR to apply for citizenship

Post by rfl » Sun Oct 26, 2014 2:00 pm

Hi,

I received ILR on 6 Feb 2014 and I'm looking to apply for citizenship as soon as I'm possibly allowed via NCS. Does this mean I can apply on 6 Feb 2015 or 7 Feb 2015? A bit pedantic, but 6 Feb is a Friday and I have a wedding to attend in NZ the following weekend so trying to give myself plenty of time.

Thanks

The official date of your application is the day HO receives your application which is usually a day after you had your appointment with NCS.
I am sometimes wrong.

You can also talk to NCS and ask if you could have an early appointment and they would keep the application with them for a few days until you qualify before posting it. Some NCS agree to do that.
Check the FAQ before posting!
Citizenship (adults, children, passport)
EEA (EEA FP, RC, PR, Surinder Singh)
