Naturalisation - Absence on the date before 5 year

Post by natural14 » Thu Oct 30, 2014 4:43 pm

Hi ,
I was due to apply naturalisation on Nov 2014,On reading the residence requirement I found this
Five Years Residence:
In addition, the applicant must intend to make their main home in the UK, and be able to show that they were physically present in the UK on the date 5 years before the date the application is actually received by the Home Office.

I would like to know that I was not physically present in UK on the date before 5 years for naturalisation. Does it affect my application? I was on personal leave on November 2009 and I was back on 3rd April 2010. Do I need to wait until 3rd April 2015 for naturalisation application? Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Your application will most definitely be refused if you were not present on the day 5 years ago.
You have to wait until April 3rd.
I am sometimes wrong.
