Hi
I need an advice from senior members:
Tier-1 : 19 March 2010-19 March 2013
Tier-1 Extension: 23 Feb 2013-23 Feb 2015
My wife dependent visa expiry is also 23 Feb 2015.
I will be eligible for ILR only betwteen 20 Feb 2015 and 23 Feb 2015. My wife needs to apply for PBS dependent extension.I have talked with UKBA and they have confirmed
Main Applicant and Dependent need to book two different PEO appointments.
I'm working as contractor (Self Employed Director of Limited Company) and my contract also expires on 23 Feb 2015 along with visa
and I'm not sure if I can get a new contract or not. Considering a worst case scenario, I might be out of job if contract finishes on 23 Feb 2015.
I have heard in ILR application , caseworker can also raise a question like "Have you got any future contract or work available?"
If we say "No" to case worker then there is a problem. Considering my scenario, what do you recommend.
1) Tier-1 extension (3rd time) along with dependent in Dec 2014:
Good thing: I only need to book one appointment and we both can get a visa and I can apply for ILR at any time in March/April.
This means I will be spending extra £2000 pounds but I can also apply for new jobs.
2) If I go for ILR on 20 Feb 2015 , and If I don't have future work then my whole time period of 5 years will be wasted.
Senior members, please advise if it is worth spending extra £2000 pounds and can I get Tier-1 extension 3rd time on the basis of ILR shortfall by 24 days or I should apply for ILR?
