1. Category applying under : Tier 2 General Migrant + Partner + Child
2. Country of application : India
3. City of Visa Application Centre : Delhi
4. Date of application : 9th Oct 2014
5. Date of submission of documents (if different from 3 above) : 9th Oct 2014
6. Date Entry Clearance valid from : 4th Nov 2014
7. Duration for Entry Clearance : 3 years
8. Date passport received : Migrant + Partner (3rd Nov 2014), Child (STILL WAITING!!)

Does anyone know why would this happen? Why would my child's decision be delayed when it is already approved for me and my spouse?

When I wrote to the vfs about the status of child's application, I got the following response:
"We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWF******** and date of birth
**/**/2012) and found that a decision on your application has been delayed
whilst further enquiries are being conducted. Your visa application centre
or the entry clearance officer will contact you once a decision has been
made or, if necessary, during the consideration of your application."

I fail to understand what further enquiries would be needed for my child?

Hi guys

I have a quick question as I can't seem to find the most relevant thread to post on -

My employer is willing to go through the process of acquiring a CoS and then applying for my Tier 2 visa, conducting a RLMT etc.

However, I've just been told that if I make an out-of-country Tier 2 application, my salary needs to be minimum 30,000£. Yet I cannot find anywhere on the UKBA website that says this. All state the minimum salary is 20,500£.

My advisor further went on to say the £20,500 base salary is only applicable if I apply from within the UK. Is this correct? Could anyone confirm this please?

Many thanks!

Hi,

I want to apply for a Tier 2 Dependant visa. My wife is already working in the UK. I am planning to submit the following documents & have a few queries on the documents. I'll really appreciate any help on my queries below. Also, it will be great if you will let me know if there is any other document that I am missing.

My documents
- Original Passport
- Bank statements stamped & signed by the Bank (showing the minimum balance required)
- Income tax returns for past 3 years
- TB test certificate from authorized clinic
- Original Graduation & Post graduation degree (medium was English)
- Photograph
- Original Marriage certificate

Wife's documents
- Passport & Visa Photocopy (Q - Will a normal photocopy work or it has to be a attested / notarized copy)
- Employment letter & Salary slips photocopy (Q - Will a photocopy work or I need to ask her to courier the originals to me)
- Online Bank statements printouts (Q1 - If I have enough bank balance to support myself, do I need to give wife's bank account statements? Q2 - If i need to give, will normal printouts work or she needs to send originals via courier)
- Council tax bill photocopy as Address proof (Q - Will photocopy work?)

Beyond these, is there any invitation letter format which my wife needs to send to me for my visa application?

Thanks & Regards

Hi
I am applying dependant visa for my daughter in india hyderabad. Is there a priority service available in hyderabad for tier 2 dependant.
I am on tier 2 visa since feb 2013. Is A rating sponsor letter can be used for funds for dependant applying separately to the main applicant.

Thanks and appreciate your help....

My husband got the confirmation SMS & E-mail from VFS / UKBA about a decision having been made on 18th November 2014 and on 19th November 2014 we got his passport via Blue Dart Courier! His Tier 2 ICT visa has been approved until 2017 December.

In normal mode, it had taken 8 working days for the decision to be made. We had made the following documents ready and the VFS agent personally thanked us because my husband had made a topsheet with a list of documents being given and a small post it note on all original documents and photocopy of documents respectively.

1.) UKVI application form & Appointment confirmation (filled in & Complete - double, triple checked)

2.) Current Employment details:
2.a) Letter of agreement / Offer letter
2.b.) Covering Letter from India Office branch explaining need for transfer of employee from India to UK
2.c.) Letter from employer confirming pay-slips being printed on non-letter head as per company policy
2.d.) Pay slips of all 13 months from date of joining (sealed and signed by authorized signatory)
2.e.) Form 16 & TDS

3.) Previous Employment details:
3.a.) 2 page brief resume in simple word format
3.b.) Offer letters & Relieving letters of all previous employers
3.c.) Recommendation and accolades from previous organizations

4.) Education & Professional Certifications
4.a.) College transcripts
4.b.) Professional certifications

5.) Personal Details
5.a.) Passport
5.b) Copies of passport pages containing Visa stamping of previous countries visited
5.c.) TB test results
5.d.) Marriage Certificate and Decree of Divorce of previous marriage.
[since his ex's name was still on his passport and we were re-married only recently my name is yet to be updated on his passport, so to validate this, he attached both divorce of previous marriage and current re-marriage certificate]

6.) Covering Letter from my husband, stating his requirement of this visa and why he has been transferred from India to UK

Each set of documents was covered with a top sheet as mentioned above and had originals and photocopies of all the documents given.

My husband has about 15 professional certifications specializing in various aspects of IT security etc.,we attached this specifically to back the need and requirement of his expertise in his company in London. He also added his recommendation and accolades he received in his previous employment & current as proof of international work experience. We did this because we read anecdotal experiences from various blogs and forums including immigration board's stating, the level of documentation for UK visa is left at the discretion of the applicant apart from the basic ones like passport, proof of employment etc., however any document that you feel is better to back your case up is advised as better to be submitted.

Hi all Expert,

I am going to get CoS in December, 2014 end. Then I am planing to file for Tier 2 General visa from embassy. My Sponsor company is A-rated. My question is.

I am unmarried right now and I am planing to marry in another couple of week time. So should I applied my fiancee visa together with me and before appointment date I will get marriage certificate.

Can we file from different visa center (means I am from bangalore and she can from Chandigarh/Delhi)?

Or should I filed first mentioning dependent 1 in my form and my fiancee file after my visa stamped in another 2-3 days?

Please advice me.

Regards
Raj

It seems that there is no requirement of English language for tier 2 dependent visa.
Could you please clear it? What you have submitted for English language requirement for dependent visa?
Thanks!

Dependent does not require prove their English language and hence no document to testify.

Hi all,
I have submitted my tier 2 general visa application at vfs kolkata centre on 16 jan and same day got a sms saying that the application has been forwarded to UKVI. On 21st jan i received another sms as well as an email informing that my visa application has been processed and i will receive the documents shortly through courier. I am a bit anxious as it took just 4 working days to process the application. Please anyone suggest is it normal and if I can infer something from it.

Thank you.

Hi all

I am planning to switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General.
Currently in London and applying next week in India.
My Sponsor is A rated but a UK company, hence not a part of BEP program.

Any idea if I can apply using super priority or priority appointment for this in Chennai?

Thanks in advance

Hi hasan,
I understand your situation as I am in a very similar situation waiting for my visa decision nearly 6 months. I have given all the details in this forum as well as past immigration history in order to get some view point from experts . I realised that they dont have any suggestions for certain delays done by ECO and the only way to find out is hire an immigration lawyer (costs a lot) and find some answers. Subject Access Request is a method through which British High Commission will reveal information on where it is stuck or atleast that can be interpreted and immigration lawyer says by keeping sustained follow up can engage the ECO multiple times and hopefully expedite the decision. NileshN(who is in the same boat as we are!) actually helped me with the lawyer contact and you can find someone and try this method to channelize your frustration into something positive.

hi,
thanks for your kind message.
i have spoken to the immigration adviser who helped my sponsor with the licensing, COS and other things and all they say is we have to wait till the UKVI get back to us and nothing can be done to escalate this.
now, i don't know your situation and case history but if its taking more than 6 months i can understand how frustrated you could be. if you would like to talk more please find me on whatsapp +447767292429. i surely would like to talk to you to know a bit more about your situation.
kind regards.
Hasan
