ILR & FLR ???

Hi,

I got my EC on 8/08/2007 from India. Will be flying to U.K on 10th September.
Can anyone kindly explain me everything about ILR & FLR, as i have no knowledge about it.
Do i have to apply for ILR or FLR as soon as i reach U.K ?

No, once you have Entry Clearance, that will suffice as your Leave to Remain in the UK until you have to re-apply for an HSMP extension.

You apply for the extension, FLR(HSMP), in July/August 2009, and you would qualify for settlement (ILR) 10 Sept 2012, five years after your arrival. AG

thanks gordon, but somewhr in the forum you mentioned, it is necessary to enter u.k within 28 days time, or else would have to apply for 2 FLR ???
please help me out with this.
