Unpaid Absenses from UK with prior Employer Approval

Post by RajAbi123 » Sun Nov 09, 2014 3:30 pm

Hi

I am currently on Tier I General

I am due for an application for ILR next week, I am struggling to get an answer for Unpaid Absences from UK with prior authorisation from employer.

In my case i have visited my home country for a period of 83 days, part of which is Paid Annual Leave for a period of 6 weeks and part of which is Unpaid Leave for a period of 6 weeks.

The purpose of the Holiday was to achieve a professional IT Certification CISCO (CCNA) to better my prospects for opportunities within the company
The terms of Holiday is i return to my same employment with all my rights provided i return to work on the day i am supposed to return. My question here is will it break my continuity of lawful period of 5 years?

i have never exceeded the 180 day limit for any consecutive 12 months period.

I can provide evidence from my employer there is a provision for time off work to study which is what i did, i sat for the exams in UK after i returned from India and passed the exams.

Your timely reply will help me in this regard.
