name confusion

Post by ohojska » Sun Nov 09, 2014 9:56 pm

Hi All,
I was wondering if someone was maybe in a situation like my husband and what was the outcome of that...?
Basically in the nearest future he is about to apply for a naturalisation as a spouse of a BC. The problem is with his name. He is from BD and has 2 names and 2 surnames. In his old passport all of them were written in one line (hand-written!) under the "name of bearer". In his new passport under the "name" the embassy wrote down his 2 first names and 1 surname and under the "surname" just the second of his surnames. On the top of that his first name is Mohammed which in both of the passports is stated only as a Md. In his Uni certificate ( needed to prof his language knowledge) there is Mohammed. On his P60s is only '"M" and his other first name( no surname at all), from other employer is "M" and first letter of his second first name and later both surnames. On the marriage certificate are both full first names and surnames...So my point is, is he not gonna have a problem while applying for the citizenship having all the confusion with the names? Is the HO not gonna have doubt regarding his person? When he came to UK 10 years ago he wasn't thinking that he will be ever applying for the BC so that's why he wasn't paying too much attention to the fact that everybody was writing his name different way, is more a cultural thing back home.
I will be very grateful for all suggestions.
